Eastern Ohio Poultry Association (E.O.P.A)

Constitution & Bylaws

 

ARTICLE I. - NAME, PLACE & OBJECTIVES

 

Section 1 - Name: The name of the organization shall be the Eastern Ohio Poultry Association (EOPA).

 

Section 2 - Place of Business: The address of the Secretary-Treasurer.

 

Section 3 - Objectives: The objectives of the Association shall be to encourage and promote interest in Poultry, to provide a better understanding of poultry; increasing and sharing of wisdom and knowledge for the mutual benefit of the members.

 

ARTICLE II. - MEMBERSHIP

 

Section 1 - Any person who is interested in the object of this organization and who agrees to abide by its Constitution & Bylaws, shall be entitled to membership by sending name(s), address and required annual dues to the Secretary-Treasurer. Payment of dues shall constitute full acceptance of this Constitution & Bylaws.

 

Section 2 - Annual dues shall be $5 per year per Adult member; $10 per Household, $100 Lifetime.

 

Section 3 – Any member that has not paid in full for Lifetime membership within a year will be suspended from being a member for 6 months and will not be allowed to re-join until the 6 months have passed.   

 

Section 4 – If a member does not pay membership fees within the above stated time, the money they have paid will NOT be returned, but be put towards membership fees if they wish to re-join after the 6 month suspension.  

 

Section 5 - Any member in good standing can resign from the organization by sending a letter of resignation to the Secretary by U.S. Mail, first class postage. All interest of a resigned member in the organization’s property or funds shall then cease. 

 

Section 6 – The president is allowed to ban anyone who he/she finds to be harmful to the growth and the integrity of the organization.
